During this half day Nature Tour for all ages we will explore and enjoy St Maarten and St Martin’s coastal beauty. The tour consists of three short hikes which can be considered easy to moderate level.
Discover something special, while enjoying gorgeous views and learning about our flora and fauna. Enjoy the rugged beauty of coastal St Martin, scenic views from the highest point on the island and enjoy the secluded beach of Happy Bay with it’s golden sand, blue water and gorgeous green mountains where you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim.
Active tour to see all St Martin’s nature has to offer if you like hiking, peace and quiet. The views are breathtaking, whether you look out over the ocean or up into the lushly covered hills.

What to bring:
Wear your swim clothes and suntan lotion. A hat and a (small) towel will come in handy. Wear shoes that are comfortable for walking and can’t slip off easily, sandals or sport shoes are best.

What to wear / bring:

Detailed description of the
Coastal Nature Hike & Swim Tour
The Coastal Nature Hike and Swim Tour is a full island tour, we’ll cross the Dutch-French border twice and you’ll have great views of both Saint Martin and Sint Maarten. The tour consists of three short hikes which can be considered easy to moderate level.
Depending on the weather, the size and level of fitness of the group we’ll visit the following sites while driving around the entire island sightseeing both the Dutch and French side:
Nature Hike National Nature Reserve (East Coast St. Martin)
Enjoy the rugged beauty of the East coast of St. Martin. The nature hike starts nearby Bay Lucas going over land, passing several historic stone walls which originate from the plantation period and scenic views overlooking the National Nature Reserve.
Pic Paradis (Central St.Martin)
The highest peak of the island, the green and tropical Pic Paradis at
424 mtr/ 1390 ft. A short sloping hike, passing lush vegetation and vibrant bird sounds, will bring us to the top where a wide vista of the Eastern side of St Martin spreads out in front of us. While you rest and enjoy the view, your guide will tell the story of how St Martin came to be and what it is you see from the top.
Happy Bay Coastal Trail (West Coast St.Martin)
The coastal nature hike starts nearby Friar’s Bay, following a coastal trail with scenic views overlooking the West coast of St.Martin. The hike can be considered an easy to moderate level. We will visit the secluded beach, Happy Bay, where you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim.
As the tour continues around the island, your guide will tell you about St Martin’s history, nature and culture.
